Default 383 stroker

hey guys new to site my question is 22ft scarab 383 stroker full roller motor 425hp vortech heads air gap intake 600 edelbrock imco power flow headers 5200 wot 66 to 68 gps is this close or is there more in the motor any suggestions

I think you should have a little more speed in there. My first boat was a 22ft Checkmate with a stock 454 mag 365hp with a bravo drive. The boat ran 68 on gps but wasn't very stable. I ran a three blade 25p prop at around 5000 rpms. Good luck.

What are the cam spec.? We ran 750cfm on ours.

i am not sure of the cam specs other than 530 lift i do believe was thinking of going with 750 demon any sugg. would be appreciated thanks guys

Bigger carb and try to get the rpm's up a little with some prop testing. 55-5600. Mirage plus prop would probably be fastest. Maybe try labbing when you get into the rpm range you like

Put the 750 on and tune the engine (carb, timing, etc.). Then find a local marina that will let you test props and take a day off work mid-week and use a GPS to measure speed and rpm for each prop. The study your notes and pick the best prop for the job. Don't forget to right down your seat of the pants thoughts for each prop (how well did it get on plane, corner, blowout in corners, etc.).
