Default Aluminum Cylinder Heads & Salt Water

Is anybody using aluminum cylinder heads in salt water and if so are they holding up ? What manufacture are you using ? I am looking to replace heads on hp500 carb motors, I'm looking at Dart pro1 310's or AFR 305 or 315cnc.

Thanks
Joby

I run AFR heads, but dont trust them to salt water. I run closed cooling to be sure I have no problems.

No, the heads are as they came from AFR. I have seen the salt eat through parts so quickly, I was amazed. It will not get me ever again.

Joey Griffin put aluminum head on Jon B's motors. So far so good!
As long as you flush it religiously you'll be fine.

I've run Brodix and Dart for years without any problems whatsoever....flush them after every use and you'll be fine.

Flush Flush Flush

Flush after every time you go out in salt water. Use some of them flushing chemicals that Yamaha sells for their outboards. Also some zincs would be nice.

Dart are very good just make sure you flush the salt out of the engines very thoroughly and use a product called salt away and when the foam bubbles come out of the tail pipes shut the motors down
