Default Started making my trim tabs today!

so here are all the pics enjoy, post comments questions and criticisms.

Its not finished yet, im going to have them powder coated when im done
i still have to finish welding it, dinner was done so i rushed out of the shop

I dont have the hinge on there yet cuz i have to order them from mcmaster.

Let me know what you think! and yes they are based off the Martini Victory trim tabs, cuz i like that design so much :-D

Can't really tell how big they are in the pics. If they are 280 ish size, I think you are going to need more reinforcement.

Griff - they are 12 wide by 15inch long tapered down to 8 inchs.

Got the other one made and the hinges on today, called about getting a wholesale account at the place im going to get my actuators at, and that is all taken care of, so hopefully in a week or two ill have the rams and get the upper mounts made and get these bad boys on the boat!... ohh and ofcoarse have them powdercoated black.

you may want to weld a lip on them around the top because i think if u don't they will bend. otherwise look'n good. what are u useing for the ram?

Going to go with electric, cheaper and slightly easier to install, the rams are from Lectrotab same ones in the pic im about to post, as well the tabs i made are based off this design, going to test them out when i get them on the boat and see if they bend.. if they do ohh well it dosnt take long to make these things if i had to remake/alter them.

You going to add provision for trim cable or is that done within the ram itself?
