I am looking into buying a 02' 30' Eliminator Eagle with (2) 575's. What are your thoughts about this boat with this power package? What about these motors, how long do you typically see them lasting? What are your thoughts about this boat in general before I jump in.
Thanks,
James

I say buy it.....I did and I love mine......but be sure to do a leakdown and compression test before you buy..... If the motors don't pass with some good numbers you can negotiate a little better on price. As far as the 575 you can do a search on here and there are a ton of threads about these motors........mostly positive but very informative about there weaknesses....... such as blower failures and rebuild intervals/easy to upgrade to over 700hp/etc,etc...................good luck with your purchase....

I have limited time on mine but love them! Mine are bumped to 625 and run awesome. Nothing beats the sound of the blowers. There is about 20-30 hours on the rebuilds when I bought the boat, however the engine previously went 400 hours before the rebuild so that seems pretty reasonable.

My buddy just bought a TG w/575's. I looked at the boat for him and ran the motors; they sound very healthy. Make sure to have a leakdown and compression test done as we did. I'll let you know how I like them after running to the Keys tomorrow
