Anyone ever stay there while boating on Lake Mead? I was wondering if there is a launch close by/how far? Also, is it safe to park your boat in the lot overnight?

Green valley ranch is good 15 min to the lake and security patrols the parking lot all night.

I've stayed at the Hacienda alot. It is OK but no 4 star resort. But since it's so close to the lake we continue to stay there. Never had a problem. They have security in the parking lot. Use the Hemenway launch ramp which is about 5 mins from the hotel. I think it's called Las Vegas Bay marina now. Here's a couple pics:

Good place to go is "little sandy" just north of Callville.

Thanks Jody,
that's what I needed to know. I was thinking it would be fun to hit Lake Mead for a week and do a little exploring (never been on it). Thought it might be nice to have a back up plan if it gets too windy or we need a change of pace and some gambling. Didn't want to do anything real expensive.

I have also stayed there a lot but haven't been there in about a year. Anything wrong with Lake Mead Marina now? I know water was getting low but we were able to launch my 27 there without issue.

It is a stones throw from the Hacienda. Hacienda rooms are 2 star at best... The food is 3 star... and that staff is 3 star... (all very nice people but, hey, its the hacienda.)

I love the place though.

A little crowded at the ramps and the most popular beaches but nothing like Havasu.
