When to refresh?
#1
Have an '89 Apache with Chief 850's, 3A's and beefed up trannies from TNT (10 disc). The whole package has 145 hours.
How do you know when to refresh the trannies? Other people have advised that since the motors are out, this is the time.
What do you look for and how do you know?

Those transmissions come apart quick and easy. Some visual inspection and a few measurements will point you in the right direction. It's alot easier to take them out with the engines out.... and in March, instead of on July 3rd when they're slipping.
