350 Mag upgrade?
#1
2000- 28zx donzi with twin 350 mags 100% stock now. What kind of upgrades or supertune parts/kits are out there. Anything less than a super charger? What size props? any ideas? Looking for a faster top end! What kind of exhaust could I run with stock cam and heads?
Thanks in Advance

I just purchased an Active Thunder with the twin 350MagMPI's- I'm going to supercharge 'em. That will give you HP500 numbers with a fairly conservative boost number.
You could change cams and heads, but you'll need exhaust to benefit from the upgrade.
I like the sound and price of the EMI Thunder manifolds- I used them on my Formula and was very happy (modified SBC's). As far as performance gains from them on a purely stock motor, I'm not sure it would be much if any, but the weight savings is quite good.

Hey, How much will the stock fuel injection allow you to do from a normally aspirated point of view? May be more HP/dollar effective to go with mild blowers, I take it you already have Bravos. Jafo- I knew you would have something in store for those small blocks!! Which blowers are you going with? Want to sell the exhaust off the Formula?...........would make it appear more "stock", make it easier to sell

I'm leaning toward the Whipples- they supply everything including the new injectors. I still have some research to do on the available systems, and need to do a steering upgrade as well. I don't know if that will all happen this coming season or not. Dustin says the exhaust is not necessary to upgrade except for the weight savings gained (and of course the lovely sound of the EMI's).
The Formula? Haven't addressed that issue yet.........
