pulled my 27 Warlock with a steel trailer about 8k with and without lift with no problems,
but might have to sell for my next boat

Here's my rig. Mine is bone stock underneath, 7.3 Powerstroke with a Superchip up 80horse, and it tows my 32SS just fine. Hardly even knew it was back there.

We towed our 28 AT with an Excursion diesel to and from no. IL to southern Florida several times. It worked quite well for that size/weight boat. I've had a couple of duallies as well, and that would be my choice for anything larger in a boat.
Currently towing an older 25' Formula cruiser with one, and it doesn't flinch. It doesn't care about the 30' FeatherLite, 24' Wells Cargo, or a skid loader either. They're a pretty good towing platform if the proper mods are done to the factory suspension and a WD hitch is used.

I have towed my 288 sunny with my 05 no problems what so ever, and now my new 32'

Borrowed a friends V10 EX to tow my boat. Truck didn't even know the boat was there.
