Wow, so who gets to be "on top" of this deal ? XM I imagine.

I would think Sirius would be, since, I believe XM has been the struggling company

Question is: Who do you subscribe to in the next 60 days? Or do I hear-----"You must toss your Sirius receiver in favor of the NEW dual channel receiver."

Actually XM has about twice the subscriptions as Sirius. They structured the deal so "Sirius would (buy) XM" for tax reasons. Its a merger, not a buy out. The two companies got the approval to merge b/c the fed determined they are not competing with each other, rather they compete with music downloads etc. This is just a way for them to save money on duplicating services and offer the same stuff. They should, and its not been determined, offer the same two recievers and channel selections. Details still to be worked out.

I hope Sirius is better thanXM. I can'r even listen to the news anymore without being bombarded with an ad for Viagra, a phony incorpopration or something like that. Are there any legitimate advertisers on there? Even on Fox news?

Their musci channels are lacking- Not much different than FM- they play the same song list in a loop. Opie & Anthony have me missing Howard Stern, who hasn't been funny in the better part of a decade. I've held off changing, waiting on this merger to happen. If I have to buy a Sirius receiver, I'll be pi$$ed.

I have had XM since 2004. I've listened to Sirius on multiple occasions. I prefer Sirius so I've been looking forward to this merger.

I bought a new Ford with Sirius and liked it so much that I changed from XM to Sirius in the Excursion, F350 and the boat.

I hope it stays the same or gets better.

Sirius #13 "All Elvis All Day" ROCKS!
