Engine: 540 BBC 727 HP & 686 ft lbs trq @ 5400 rpm
Super charger:
Drive: 2" shortie xr sportmaster with 1:50 gear.
steering: Dual imco rams
Tabs: 18" dana

Sweet setup

I would start with a 28 or 30 pitch 4 blade to get a base line.

You may also have good results with a 5 blade with the 2 inch shortie.

I am trying to get between 5400-5600 rpm any sugestions would be great her is my total package.

Boat: 1998 25-0' Outlaw.
Engine: 540 BBC,B&M 250 supercharger dynoed @ 727 hp & 686 ft lbs torque @ 5400rpm smallpulley
& 4 lbs of boost.
Cooling system:Teague sea strainer thru super chiller
dumped thru transom,Large Imco oil cooler.
Fuel system: Areomotive pump & reg. single 1060
dominator nickerson blower carb,remove stock
one way stock ball valve @ fuel tank steady 7
lbs @ W.O.T. Note: Blew my 1st engine up
with only a couple hrs on it because of the one
way ball valve fitting at the tank baja puts in at
factory restricted the amount of fuel to the
engine leaned it out and that was it,won't do
that again.
Drive: XR sportmaster 2"shortie with shower no
extension box.
Steering: Imco dual ram not hyd.to the helm.
Top speed: 86-88 mph 4lbs 1000 ft above se level fresh
water 2-0' chop, bravo 4 blade 28 pitch non
labbed 220 degrees oil temp @ 5100 rpm.

Sent supercharger to teague they rebuilt it 100% they had mentioned it was very loose and i should see between 6-8lbs of boost.

600hp/26OL/stock drive height spins a non-labbed 28 comfortably to 5200+ rpm. Stock 30 was too much prop.

With 727hp, I'd start with a stock 30 pitch B1 and take it from there.

If you want to try the 5 blade new hybrid from Hydromotive send me a PM and I can set you up with a distributor who should be able to shave some $$$$$ off. The new hybrid is supposed to have lift characteristics similar to a Bravo. They claim they could get me down to around 10% slip. I am running around 575HP in my 25OL with stock drive setup. Slip numbers sound optimistic. I may pull the trigger and buy yet another prop soon but haven't decided if I will yet. If you are shopping and try it out would love to hear how one of the 5 blades works on a high power 25OL. Good Luck

i see a 5 blade maximus 30 labbed for sale ive heard mixed reviews like hard on drive, lost mph, is the hydro supposed to be better & what diameter any suggestions?

I thought more blades = more stern lift.

With the 25/26 you need bow lift - and lots of it.

with the shortie drive you need bow lift, try the 30b1, I have 670hp and hit 6000rpm with a 26b1. if its back on the water this summer I am going to a 30lab or 28lab. 5 blades handle better but are slower and harder on the drive. if you try a hydro 5 blade make sure its the px5 and not the p5 art
