most trailers with an air system is air to the trailer where it is changed to hydraulic. I would suggest changing the trailer to electric over hydraulic. By the way, most 650 have hydraulic disc. the yellow knob on the dash is only for parking.

how old is the trailer you are looking at. most late model trailers do not use that setup anymore. If the trailer is true air including the trailer axels then you can;t float the boat since the salt will kill the s cam assembly of the brake system

bgchuby,
How do you figure the salt will destroy the S cam? You run a trailer on salty roads for thousands of miles for many years with no harm? There is always salt spray up in there you can see the brake shoes frames covered in white salt from the water evaporating. The cam itself rides on nylon bushings, I would think air brakes would be the best to submerge?
