Default Head bolt question

I am running a hp500 with a 256 blower. Had the head completely ported, all new valvetrain, and a new cam. Getting ready to put the heads back on but before I do, I wanted to know if the stock head bolts ar sufficient for what I am doing? Are the hp500 head bolts good enough or, should I buy a new set?? Which should I go with and if there is a part# for them. Thanks OSO!

You would be better off getting a set of ARP studs. Bolts are good, studs are best.

Get new bolts, last year a friend added whipples on his 525's and blew a head gasket and ended up replacing both sides with new bolts & gaskets. He was told the old bolts were the problem.
