Your best bet would be to contact Interlux direct to get the real deal.

I used the VC years ago on a Sea Ray Sundancer that I had and was very impressed. Most bottom paints result in a loss of performance/speed, was not the case with the VC, great product.

ragged edge is correct as for the speed loss. i have tested this paint v.s other paint v.s no paint, and there is virtually no speed loss. maybe 2-3 tenth's on 38 fountains with trip 275 and 300 verados.
as for overcoating, the old material should be removed. there are some incompatabilities with other brands and doesnt allways show up on the spec sheet but rather comes out in the water. and all water varies , so dont chance it. can rot thru hulls , shafts, gear cases, etccc.......

How long does this stuff last for before it wears off, or does it not wear off? I've read the finish if wet sanded and buffed looks like new gel, but nothing about a wear time.

I painted my bottom this year over my bottom paint and it held the whole summer, did not turned yellow either, but my boat was only docked for 2 weeks, the balance was on trailer. nice finish...
