I have a non-stepped hull 32' Fever with carbed 502's - 410hp. I'm using 25 pitch 3 blade mirage (quicksilver) props. The boat jumps right on plane (relatively speaking) whether or not I'm loaded with people or by myself. My question is, are 4 blades worth installing? If so, do you use the same pitch? Are there any advantages? As I feel my boat performs well now. My boat runs low 70's now with the 25p 3 blades at something over 5k rpm (didn't get an exact number for rpm on the gps run). Thanks.

nuke, I had a '92 29' with the same set-up. I spent a load on custom 4 blades and went slower top end, but better mid speeds. The X is too low for 4 or 5 blade props... consider labbing Mirage or Mirage Plus to get more top end. Carder

All the stepped Fountain hulls used higher X dimensions which allowed the 4 blades to spin up faster. Yours, like mine, was set lower in the water so you get the fastest top end with 3 blades. You still have room for improvement with tuned 3 blades.
