Default making new hatch

anyone ever make their own engine hatch.my 98 25 a/t has
the stock hatch/sun deck on and thinking of putting a blower on the boat.don't want to cut up the factory hatch so was thinking of making my own.was thinking 3/4 plywood with supports and take it to a boat guy to gel it.any suggestions

no plywood, use either foam core or Baltek. Do you intend to do a flatstock shape than add a Harwood? or are you thinking full sculpted piece?

I can not beleive that Dave did not recommend using Coosa and West Systems!!!!!

Hey . . . believe it or not i used Coosa on a swim platform project i have in the shop just this afternoon.


Great stuff and actually yea, if its going to be primarily a flat stock project than Coosa would be good here (its not a transom )

i was thinking flatstock shape and then add the scoop on top.where would i get these materials you guys are talking about?thanks for the info
