Default Thoughts/experience with Challenger

Anyone have a Challenger, any ideas of their quality/value overall. Especially since the move to Missouri, was the company recently sold, why?

I do know they are used by the MO waterpatrol at LOTO, but know very little beyond that.

I talked to a MO. water patrol guy about those boats. He said that he is able to run down a lot more boats because the Challenger is much faster the Webbcraft he used to drive. He went on to say that he wished he still had the Webbcraft because it rode a lot better than the Challenger. He said he did not look forward to big weekends in the Challenger. Take that for what it is worth.

Talk to Lake Shores Marina in Sunrise Beach about the Challenger. They rigged several boats for Challenger a couple of years ago. I also asked the water patrol last year about them they stated the thing Mike said.

Bill are you considering a new boat? Ron Dibartolo has had challenger for quite a few years now. The good thing is you can visit the factory in Washinton and see them being built. I can't tell you about their build quality at this time though Ron wants me to come to the factory even though i am not in the market for a boat. Forrest
By the way it was nice meeting you and Rose at the party.

yes, I am certainly considering the trip to the plant. I especially want to see what they are going to do to the Mariah designs. I was told they are/have revamped the stringer layout. This kind of stuff interests me in a weird sort of way, Im a structural engineer and the opportunity to evaluate load paths ranks right up there with ???, well almost.
