The hitch is rated for 15,000lbs, 16,000lbs weight distibuting. You can't pull a boat/trailer combination over this weight with this hitch no matter what truck you have.

I had an 06 3500 dually and have a similar boat to you (Formula 370SS). I tried pulling it with the dually and it felt like way too much. I got a Sport Chassis FL and the truck pulls the boat great. I tow it everywhere as i keep my boat in a garage and on the trailer. The local lake I go to is 60 miles away,

You need a ford f450 with a 4.88 rear and a gooseneck to pull that boat legally (24k rating) if you want to stay with a dually "1 ton". The only way to tow it with a conventional hitch if you want to be legal is to use a medium duty with a pintle. I've towed with everything (including class 8) and prefer my 2008 ford f450. My boat weighs about the same as yours although it's longer and narrower. I have a tandem dually myco which is a phenomenal trailer and part of the reason it feels so stable.

my 2006 3500 duramax/allison daully pulls 15,000-18,000lbs anywere anytime,and pulls my 35' cig mistress and my 42' revolution[it weighs 13,000lbs] without any problems ,,you have to look in the rearview mirror to make sure theres anything back there

I would guess that the guy who posted this topic is towing no less than 21k.

first of all..you have to get use to towing..You will feel 15k behind anything you tow....There is really not much difference between say a F350 vs a F450 other than gears, 1 leaf spring, better turning radius, slightly larger tires and horrible mileage. You can equip a 350 with some of these features to help aid your truck for pulling your load..like I did and get better mileage in doing so..the question then becomes..what are you towing...are you use to it and can handle it safely...and is it legal towing that particular weight with this vehicle..Good Luck...pm me if you have any more Q's. No more 4:88 gears in f-450s and the 4:30 geared trucks are now rated for 24k,,rear diff and brakes are a whole bunch bigger on 450s versus 350s

Not with 15 k back there! you know its there. I've had 4 duramaxes and with 15 k back there, believe me you know it !
