Default 850's setting off knock sensor @ 3200 RPM

For some reason one of the 850's in the NorTech indicates it's detonating at around 3200 while cruising along - but if you load them and run them up .... no knocking. Above 3200 and running it never goes off.... slam the sticks to the firewall and nothing ... just a ride from hell!!

I'm thinking the sensor is acting up - and if you've ever ran into this, I'd appreciate your help.

If you've never been around 850's or have any experience ...... ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh.... I really would appreciate your input if you've run across this before and have experience with these motors.

I recently set the valves and perform some normal maintenance and nothing was abnormal. The stbd motor doesn't do anything - just the port one.

Thanks

Capt Ross

Thought about it - if it wasn't such a b i t c h to get to on the stbd motor I would - I's hoping someone may have run across this and would chime in ...
