I was wondering if anyone had any firsthand knowledge of this unit, It will show song information while on Sirrius, but not while on CD or on regular FM broadcasts. Is it operator error or is there an update to cure this problem,,,,other than that I love the unit, it interfaces well with my steering wheel controls(ford f350) sounds great(upgraded speakers, stealth box in console, and 1000 watt amp) and is generally user friendly which is a big plus for me.

If I'm not mistaken, unless your head unit says RDS (I think that's right), only XM or Sirrius will display song title, artist, etc. I have a Bose (in the car) and it does display title, etc. on both regular broadcast and CD, as well as XM. My Alpine (non RDS) does not display title, etc. on radio or cd, only on XM.

Look to activate the RDS feature on the head unit. Not all CD's will display song and title info. You may have to program the CD when you put it in there for that info. If you put a CD of MP3's in there it will likely give you all the info.

Thanks for your replies, Audiofn, where would I look to find a way to turn on RDS if it can be? Can't decide if it's operator/programmer error or a shortcoming of the unit.
