Question Crankshaft for 454 mag

Got the news that my crank has got a small crack beginning at one of the oil galleys, only detectable by equipment, not by eye. Can this be repaired? If not, where can I find a suitable replacement?

I have seen lots of steel cranks on ebay, usually for 300-450$ for new. I found 5140 crossdrilled nitrided steel cranks for $400. They were straight as a arrow, but on the internet, beware.

between summit racing and PAW there are allot of crank choices. PAW has a 5140 forged steel for around $500 and the new summit that came in the mail today had 4340 4" or 4.25" or bigger that claim they are good for 700hp for $699.

Don't bother fixing that crank. It just pays to buy new. It will be cheaper and safer in the long run.

I've got a great crank from a 454 Mag engine. It's forged...was going to use it for aanother blower motor, but no time to build one..

Price : $350

also have 454 Mag Heads with Inconel valves and Crane Roller rockers...

Thanks for all the input. I looked around, talked with some local sources and found a solution. Now I just have to go rob a bank!
