I'm 24 and am trying to buy a 95 Obsession cat for $20,000.
My bank said the boat is to old for a loan.
I only have about $3,000 to put down on it.
What should I do???

It s gonna be hard for you!! age credit how long at a job it all matters but loaning on a boat is tuff the age is very important look at 7 years or less to have a chance other options you have are a secure loan against your car poss?? or a home equ loan poss but good luck on the older stuff the banks have a number for what they are worth and the dont like to move off that and what your lookin at you might find someone that Ill do it but your probally gona have to come up with more down 20 to 25% to have a chance good Luck

Give loan ranger or any of the others that advertise on OSO a call.

They have a better understanding of what boats are worth compared to a bank.

My bank financed my 94 obsession no problem. Just check around. One thing you might want to check into is the insurance for the boat if you havent already. What kind of power is in it? 25, 28 or 33 cat? Just curious about the boat and power because there arent that many around .
