Go to a NAPA store or West Marine, spend $18 on a 3 wire switch, swap it out, takes 5 minutes. Or go to Radio Shack, buy 3 small alligator clips (roach clips
) a few inches of wire,and make a hot wire jumper,it's easy

you'd be surprised how many of them have the same key. I had one of the batboats here and i lost the keys so i figured no biggie I'd just throw a new key switch in it that i got from West Marine. Well on this particular boat the back of the dash was not easy to get at so i struggled with it for an hour or so. Just for the hell of it i thought i would try the key from the new ign. in the old switch that i had out and in my hand. . . it frikn worked

I would order the right key, and hot wire it for the weekend. Couldn't be easier. There is absolutely no ignition security, I don't even know why we bother with keys. They only stop the honest people.
