Greetings All -
I was wondering if anyone can chime in on these boats. there is one I am going to look at a 95 this week and seems nice and clean. Does anyone have any specific things i should look for? Any comments are appreciated!

When my Uncle was a Wellcraft Dealer he sold dozens of them, great little boat. He still owns an 87' with only 183 origonal hours on it. He always said the ones built prior to 1990 were better constructed hulls. 91-93 being the worst for rotten structure.

I had a 26' Nova St...sorry I ever sold it. I ran 21 pitch Hydromotive Turbo props and it had T-350 mags...61 on gps...but you could run in white caps wide open all day.
Never a problem for the 10 years I owned it. It was a 1991.

Running a '92 26' Nova right now, great little boat. Bought it because my buddy had a 23 and I was so impressed with it. Boats are heavy and ride much bigger than what they are. I've heard of the stringer problem, but have never noticed anything on mine.
Give it good once over and go for it if it checks out. Good luck!

apples to bananas..the 26 and 23 are different..the 23 is a nice boat..definite stringer issues..got one with bad stingers in my side yard...the 23 is not a 24 deg. Vee, think it's 20 degrees so it wont be the best wave crusher but still rides well for what it is.

Love my 26' Nova. I've got an oldie-1982. First year of the "body style" they ran through the 80's. I run with a LOT of 311 Formula's in our boating group, and have no problem keeping pace in the waves of Lake Michigan. Flat water, they are all faster than me, but I get twice the fuel economy
I've rode in a lot of 23 Nova's and they are nice boats.
