Awesome racing, love the pit set up, & sitting right there listening to them announce the race will taking a swim. Any reason why they had to race so far offshore this year. In years past they were alot closer.

Coast Guard would not allow it this year. Too many bathers and people on the beaches . Their thoughts were if something went wrong with one of the boats and had to be beached ya never know what could go wrong and the other reason was a person drowned last year, if we were close to the beach they couldn't get help through right away which means they would have shut the race dowm completely so they opted to keep us out far enough to keep everyone safe.

You guys are a class-act!!! It was truly a pleasure meeting so many of you and I really had a GREAT weekend. As a first-time Scorer (in turn 1), I had an unbelievable view of all the action! I even started to make plans today to attend as many of the races I can this season and will be volunteering again at each. Congrats to all and thanks for a kick-ass time...
