Has any one heard of or dealt with this guy before? He responsed to my ad on boat trader inquiring about buying my boat. He says he works with a procurement outfit in the UK. I sent him a bunch of pics and info, after some negotiations we struck a deal and he said he would take it. This has all been by email only, havn't talked to the guy by phone. Got him all set up with money transfer info and he said his shipping agent would be in touch soon. Its been a week since his last email and no word from him or his agent. Never gave his phone# or company name, just has a gmail account. I'm starting to think he might have flaked. Just curious if he has contacted anyone else about their Velocity. Although he never said it directly, I get the vibe he is trying to buy late model boats and bring them to the UK.

I don't know him but I did sell motors and drives to a gentelman in Sweden, I gave him 48 hrs. to wire the money or the deal is off, next day I had the money. Give him a time frame and stick to it. Either it works or it doesn't and only give information needed to get the wire done.

Good friends of mine had a email deal go south. The guy sent a bank check that turned out to be fake. The feds got involved.

Don't do anything till you got the CASH.
