I have a pile of components to install in my 28 and was hoping that folks with 28 daytonas could chime in with their install pics so I could get some ideas to take to the installer. I have a couple 12s, 4 sets of 6.5's and 3 memphis amps.

I never ended up putting a stereo in my 28 (didn't keep it long enough )

However, I saw one guy had the head unit mounted in the glove box - unfortunately, one day he was running in 3-4' snot in lake ontario and the mounting actually snapped off.

My recommendation would be to mount head unit and amps in the cabin on solid surface and just have a remote in the cockpit (either steering wheel mount - which is what I have in my coupe - or surface mount near the helm).

For speaker mounts I like subs in the rear bench then a uniform speaker patterns in the gunwhale. My 36 is set up that there is speakers and tweeters for the front row of seats - as well as separate speakers and tweeters for the back row of seats. I have 3 amps as well...all secured in the cabin.

Plenty of sound in my boat, but my cockpit is much more enclosed than yours...
