I've listed my 1978 Cigarette 36 in the OSO classifieds for $29999. It's painted to match Black Tornado / The Cigarette. Bought it in 2000 and I've long since worked out all the mechanicals but it needs a little cosmetic tlc topside. 1200hp, low engine hours, pulls 66-68 GPS in freshwater depending on air temp. Details are here: http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o24032-en.html
I'm looking for a kid-friendly flybridge/sedan cruiser 28-38 feet once I sell this or to trade directly.

It was built in March 1978. Probably too late for it to have been a race boat. I bought it in 2000 and then spent a small fortune getting it all set up mechanically but the noise and speed makes it impractical for boating with young children aboard so I have ended up not using it much. It sits on a lift in a covered slip at Lake Travis ready to go though!

Thanks! I've never put it on a scale, but Brownie once told me they are up around 12,000 lbs. My 12k hydrohoist holds it easily with close to 1/2 of the pontoons above water so maybe slightly less or it's just low on gas...

Thanks for the compliments on the boat - I love the lines of the old 36!
Price is now US$ 23999 but all offers considered. This thing is waiting for a someone to take it away and enjoy it. All it needs is some vinyl graphics to become a "Black Tornado" or "The Cigarette" replica.
Not the all-out fastest boat for a lake but seriously I've never had to slow down for any wave on Lake Travis... ever. On the open ocean it will fly with the best of 'em.
