Default My gas cap is history and I need a replacement. Where do I get one?

My retard friend's only responsibilities thursday were hanging the pump up, screwing in the gas cap, stowing the gas cap key, and paying for the gas with my money.

Apparently, this was too much to handle as he left the cap on the bow before we trailered 40 miles to the marina. Needless to say, the cap is history.

Yeah, I know I should have given him less credit and micromanaged the whole process, but I didn't think of it at the time.

Where can I get another cap, and how much is this joker gonna have to shell out?

Call him and let him know what you think. I already lambasted him.

They have all kinds of replacement screw in caps at West Marine. I lost the factory stainless one on the Donzi and picked up a replacment no prob. if i remember right it was $30 or so.

this ones kinda cool, dont need a key.

Hmmm... Interesting. What diameter is the one that you bought if you had to guess?

Went to West Marine friday night and they only had smaller caps... I think my original stainless cap was 3" or so in diameter if not larger. I have to measure it today when I get the chance.

Had the same thing just happen! Southco was the OEM supplier for Baja and it looks like many others. A bunch of OSS suppliers also supply many of the same items.

Try PERKO.com they have just about everything, and West Marine is a dealer they just dont keep everything in stock. If you call a west marine on monday they can have anything by Thursday.

Well... like a Retard I dropped my cap in the water while filling up last year... To not ruin the day I went to the plumbing store and bought a plumbers cap with the wingnut on the end, shoved it in the hole and tightened up the wingnut and went boating.. I still keep it on the boat just in case!

I was able to replace the 3" perko cap at the local marine store. Just measure the inside diameter of the hole and they should be able to help you...

I think mine cost $50 since it was a 3" thread.
