What type of sealant for blower bearing plates

What type of sealant for blower bearing plates
I will be reassembling my weiand 177 blower today after replacing bearings and seals. What is a good sealer for the case to bearing plate joint? There was factory applied sealer there when I took it apart, but I couldn't ID what it was. No gaskets were installed, and the kit from Weiand came with some gaskets, but it is kind of a "one size fits all" kit for the mini-blowers. Plus a gasket there would allow more internal air leakage ultimately reducing boost capabilities.
