Default Max boost w/ stock injectors/fmu

What is the most boost you guys have run with a good fuel pump, stock injectors, and fmu setup? This procharger on the boat I bought is pullied for about 10#'s of boost. It has the aeromotive pump, an fmu, etc but stock injectors. It seems like a bit much...I may step down to 7psi or something.

14 psi for some short runs,8-10 on a regular basis back when I ran stock injectors. The key is getting enough fuel pressure to make the injector act big enough to keep up but not too much,I ran 75-80 psi under boost,Smitty

At 10 lbs boost those injectors are running almost open 100% which is bad. Ideally you should be in the 65-75 % range. they get so hot they will burn up. Try this place for some upgraded ones at a real deal. I bought my 60 lb injectors here.

Depends what size his motor is,your going to be able to run more boost with the same injector pulse width at a given pressure on a 454 vs a 502 or 540. I ran stock injectors at 85% at just shy of 80 psi for almost 5 years and they were still working fine when I upgraded to 60 lb ones and more power,Smitty
