A few of us are gethering at the Anclote island for a little BBQ. etc. Friday.
Anyone invited, Just look for the Avanti and say hello.
Then will be making a short "Fun run" to the pier or to Clearwater for the Fire Works.

I am either going to the Pier or Clearwater also. I was at the north end of Caladessi Saturday and a Pinellas County SO Contender was sitting hi and dry on a sand bar.

I hear Clearwater should have a good fire works display. But if you got time.. hop up to Anclote.. say hello.. I got a few dogs,, burgers..and brew if you wish. I anchor down.. don't mind the dry part.. but the high part.. Grrrr..... after low tide.. I skip.. Next thing I know.. I will have to be towed and SeaTow will claim Salvage from soft grounding.

3-Rooker's a pretty good vantage point for Friday nights show- depending on the weather should have a good view of Tarpon, Ozona, and Dunedin shows, so so view of Clearwaters..

The Pier may be quite a run from Anclote. I too will have burgers and dogs. Just not sure which direction we are going yet. I am going to check out a ramp near teh Pier tomorrow. I am also waiting to hear from a buddy who is at Hamlins Landing in his 42' cruiser but probably going around to the Pier Friday.

Do you boat around here often?

I live in NPR. put in at the Hooters/Casino boat and go boating around Clearwater, the bay, Anclote, Hudson, etc.
The pier is just a hop. But I think will got to Clearwater this time. for the fire works.
