I have a old 24' Skater with twin (1996) 3 liter Merc otb. they are running right at the 6000 rpm factory rev limits, can the limiters be disconnected and if so will the motors stand up to running 6200 or 6300 rpm. I dont have quite enough power for a re -prop but could squeeze out a little more speed with a few more rpms. Any advice would be appreciated.

rapair can reprogram, 6300-6400 is fine

Thanx WaterBoy how much is involved in the reprogram is it something I could do myself.
