Hello All,

I have a 28' powerplay with twin 300 promaxes spinning the props in. Do any of you play with the toe in/toe out? Where should i be if i am spinning in?

if the props are spinning IN then you want 1/8"-1/4" toe out and opposite if prope are spinning out...

Strong external steering you should have them even or straight like this | | ; maybe toed out (nose cone wider than prop shaft) just a hair because you will still have some prop torque.

Weaker steering you should have the nosecone toed in or closer together than the prop shaft like this / \

When the props spin in, it will pull the prop shaft closer together and make it like this | |

I am spinning my props out- so I am like this \ / so my prop torque pushes the prop shafts out and I end up like this | |

Think of it like this-

If you were spinning the prop and then were able to pull the prop shaft out of the center- the prop would crawl towards the direction it is spinning. Your props spin in so they would sping towards each other, not away from each other.

That is the direction the prop torque is going to pull. They/props connected to prop shaft come in, front/nosecone has to react and spread wider- your gearcase ani't rubber and it ani't going to flex. If you are toed in, spreading them wider in the front that will bring them to straight/even.

Think about your V hull parting the water and then the water trying to fill that void after your hull passes but before it hits the drives. Some like the drives toed in no matter what because of that but after much trial and error and testing and listening to experts and on and on and on I stick with what works on my boat and that is toed out a tad so the drives are parallel when the water hits them (remember my props spin out).
