external mufflers

looking at gil mufflers. does anyone have any feedback good, bad or ugly. require drastic noise reduction. help!

mufflers what are muflers? I heard thier against the law! or they should be. I run shot gun III's when I have to. Still over the DB level but takes the crack out of it so I don't get hasseled. Easy to remove for a day and place when you have room to run away from a DB meter on a 65 mph outboard.

I run Teague switchable st-450's. I think they work great, quiet when you want to be,

and open flow no restriction when you want.

I run Gaffrig. They will take the "boom" out, makes a big difference.

GOT TO WATCH THOSE SWITCHABLES NOT LEGAL IN OHIO AND IN MANY STATES. MUST BE DISCONNECTED TO BE ON AT ALL TIMES.
I HAVE KNOWN SEVERAL PEOPLE TO GET NAILED DURING AN INSPECTION. SO BE CAREFUL BE LOUD BE FAST BE COURTEOUS
