Default Extending a Merc warranty?

Can you buy an extended warranty if your motor has fallen out of warranty already or does it have to be continuous?

I can get one as long as we are still within the original 12 months only. Up to 525 EFI's.

I need to do something soon with mine, the warranty is up on 8/28/08. Merc sent me a quote a few weeks back. We are remodeling the home office and I can't find the letter anywhere. Can you get me a quote on a 496 HO with bravo x drive?

What does the extended warranty cost? Say for a 496HO?

I would like to extend my warrantee on a set of 525's, also.
Merc. said they can't do it, even if the motors were out of the a boat for 6 months and just got back into service in June.
Mine is up in Dec. 08, but I need to get some ideas how I can get additional coverage.
Please PM or call me at 561 504-3635

The Brunswick Product Protection - Passport Premiere lists for $3050 per engine for ther 496 and $5100 per engine on the 525's. This provides and additional 4 years of coverage with a $25 deductible and unlimited hours. It is also transferable should you decide to sell which is a big selling feature. Additional coverages are also available so give me a call to discuss your specific coverage. I have this on my Sonic and they paid close to $20,000 for a new long block for me last September!!!
