Hi guys.. kind of embarrassing question but here goes..

my ladder (one step) is very high and being pleasantly plump ( 300 lbs) I feel I am going to break it right off my swim platform.. anyone ever see any neat ideas on how to get up on that bad boy.. I raft in 3 ft usually..

I thought about one of those collapsable stools.. just looking for other ideas..

They make collapsable 2 and 3 step ladders.

Have you tried blowing up the Twinkie factory?

My boat came with a 3 step ladder. Sooo much easier to to get up on.

Not embarrassing, dude! Don't let the salad eaters here give ya crap! I feel your pain. I have no ladder to get back up into mine and I have some weight on you! That collapsable stool sounded like a good idea. I've also been known to use the tie bar on the drives for a little boost if needed. However I have a feeling that except for Twinkie jokes, the salad eaters won't have much in the way of useful advice. I've seen ladders that hook on over the side that looked useful. Check Overtons and West Marine.

Just buy a telescoping 3 step ladder and be done with it.

I have a rope ladder that you can hang on a cleat. it is very long, folds up, and cheap. I got it at wal mart... does the job for me

There is a ladder made that has just one upright with multiple steps. It fits in a socket that mounts to the boat. It is removable when not in use. They make them in different lenths to suit your needs. They are very nice and support a bunch of weight. Don't be embarressed, I'm not petite either. I will have to look for the ladder as I don't remember who makes it. Nortech uses it on some of their boats. It is not cheap, but it is very nice and worth the money. I'll look for it.

I have the 3 step. hang it off when need it, store it in the engine comparment when running. Very sturdy. Supports 400 lbs
