Did our engine swap this weekend. all went well and should have a shakedown run next week.

Had me wondering, what do you use to pull your engines?


i played it safe. Didnt want to overload anything

We had planned to use the crawler crane to make the swap, but halfway in mechanical problems took the crane out of service. So instead we set the new motor with the trackhoe.

Have used a tow truck on occasion or a front end loader with a hay bailing spike.

overkill where are the pics with the transplanted engine in the bilge?

I used a skytrac for mine

I use a Buddy's Forklift,the side to side movement helps allot.Don't and cant take the hatch off just about go's vertical.



I would figure the backhoe would have to much movement at one time ,be kinda jerky?

Our service trucks have Autocranes on them. It's almost like cheating.

So it would be safe to assume you go deer hunting with a bazooka?

Nope. Went boar hunting last year in Georgia- with a knife.
