Any idea why one of my K-planes does not work all the time? I know it is not the indicator. I hear the motor working but will not move it. Sometimes it will work for a little bit then get stuck. Any ideas where I need to look or what needs to be replaced? Thanks

There are check valves in the pump. I have seen them stick and not allow any fluid to pass. It usually happens if the fluid has gotten some water in it. Try disconnecting the hose at the transom and put it in a bucket and cycle the pump up and down. They also get air locked from time to time and will not move. Let me know what you find after disconnecting and running up and down.

If the pump is running, the solenoids are good. If it was just clicking when you hit the trim switch, it may be the solenoids. But that is not the case here. You will lose a little fluid when you pull the lines off. You can refill the reservior when you are finished testing it. The point is to see if fluid is coming out when you hit the switch. If it's not, something is wring with the pump. If the fluid is coming out of both lines, something is wrong with the tab. Fluid will only come out of one line when you go up and only one line when you go down.(this is with the lines unhooked) Let me know what you find.
