Does anybody know what the rebuild/major tear down schedule is for the 700 SCIs is?

Dont know that their is a reccomended rebuild schedule, like the 1075, or the 850. Their is scheduled maintinance, oil, drive, ect. But no major rebuild.

Mercury said for the 525EFI that the lifetime of the engine is 300-600hours depending on how it is treated.

That's pretty reasonable, I'd imagine the expected life would decrease for the 700/850/1075/1200 engines

I think 300 hours is reasonable and safe. 500 would be pushing it on the 700. 600 I would say is closer to 500.

I was told to expect 300-350 hours on the 700 SCi.

I was told 400 hours and then you need to do the tops with SC and IC rebuild.
