I figured to post this in this section. Since we had a group from the Northeast head out to Island dragway Friday night. John and Pete allowed me to put a camera into their cars and record the action while going down the strip.

Just remember this was recorded with a inexpensive camera that I carry most of the time just incase something interesting happens, so the audio quality is poor. Next time I'll bring extra batterys, more storage, and my better camera.

What kind of ETs did they run?

heres my 69 bird running a slow 10.00 it usually runs 9.70s but I was on the foot brake into a head wind at LVD..

Island is a great track. lousy shut down but a cool place to run.
I used to run NETO over there.

I wish I knew about the stang vs bird day I would have headed down.


My buddy has a 1986 capri for sale with a 347 ci T106 Dfi that runs mid 8's at 161 MPH on pump gas if anyone is interested.

best I ran that day was a 13.2. first time ever at a track. lots of tire spin but i was getting better as the day went on.

We drove over 2 hrs to Island last night. When we got there, there was a crowed of people waiting to get in, but the track was closed due to rain. There was not a F.ing rain cloud in the sky. what a F.ing waist of time.

How far are you guys from LVD?

Lebanon is a great track, great people and usualy they run even if its sprinkling from time to time which can get dangerous when you get going a little faster.
At least you have the option of running though.
