okay i have a 98 25 outlaw. it has a 454 in it mpi, i want to upgrade and i am asking if anyone has good ideas like rebuild motor go bigger or procharger i want more speed out of it i am only getting 53 on gps now so need some help looking for most bang for buck if need to will go looking into 502 or something open for any ideas thanks

Exhaust and prop work first. you'll get 2-3 mph. And..............I just happen to have a new pair of LIghtning headers that would go a lOOOng way to helping you out! Paid $2400 for them, take $1850.

With out knowing what you want to spend, I would suggest, calling Tyler Crockett, Raylar, or another well known performance builder, and see what they can build out of your block. Your boat can handle up to 600hp and 80mph.

BTW, if you are going to upgrade to over 70mph I would suggest adding Hydrolic steering.

I had a 1998 with a 502 and it ran around 65 on GPS, which makes me think your 454 MPI is the 330 hp?

I'd suggest selling the boat and finding one with a blue motor or 496 HO depending on how fast you want to run.
