Long Island Boaters
I am assuming this is the right forum for Long Island. The weeknd of 8/23 is the OPA/Pro Series race in Patchogue, just wondering who will be there watching. I will be in Babylon visiting family so I plan on checking it out. Anyone going to be on Main Street Friday night, they will have the boats on display and maybe a parade and I guess there are a lot of bars

Stan, Ian will be home in MI, I am flying solo for the weekend. So Friday will be girls night out, my sister, her girlfriend, and me. So look for three crazy middle aged blonds Funny thing my sister was in a bar in Babylon and her girlfriend introduced her to a couple that had an offshore boat, and they got to talking and she told them about me and that I go on this boating web site, and it turns out they knew who I was from my screen name

Do you know which is the main bar that most people will be at?
I thought you moved to NC

Donna, Sounds like your my type of people lol. The main bar is the Brickhouse Brewery and they will have an outdoor BBQ and here's a link with the menu. http://brickhousebrewery.com/
The Brickhouse is a little small and usually packed pretty good so you may need to get there early. There are other restaurants as well but parking could be a bear so I would suggest the earlier the better. Definetly a small world in the boating community. Ran into the same situation at a gas station...OSO is famous I guess.
We did purchase land in SC but will sit on it for a while. I have some personel issues that need to be addressed and make take some time. I'll fill your ear up with the scoop next weekend.

That's so awesome that you'll be in the area for the race.
Friday night is the Main St Block Party. Saturday night is the cocert at the Band Shell in the pits.

I may have to go for a boat ride Saturday AM before we make the trip up there because I don't think I can go a weeked without a ride....
