2007/2008 Suburban Hitch Receiver Upgrade
#1
Does any know who/how/where to go for an upgrade to the 2007/2008 hitch receiver? Like a class IV or class V.
The after market companies do not seem to sell a receiver for this vehicle. Reese says they don't becuase all new Suburbans come tow ready. True, if all you want is a class III hitch!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I bought my class V for my 2007 avalanche from putnam hitches. I had to call them to make sure the class V would bolt up to my application as it wasnt listed on there website, I also bought my solid 2" hitch and 2 5/16" ball from them also. I have read about way to many factory class III hitches twisting off like pretzels, I didnt want to take the chance. Be warned though, I did have to modify the plastic bumber slightly and also cut the 7 connector plug bracket off the old round tube receiver and weld it to the new receiver!

See the other thread just recently about the Dodge.
Did you check with www.curtmfg.com ?
You may want to check in with your local camper shop as well.

Thank you for the post.
Curt says they do not plan to make a receiver for the new Suburban.
Seems they hitch manufacturers think there is no market because the new Burb comes "tow ready". But the factory receiver is limited to 5000# weight carrying.
HELP!
