The Jury Verdict Is In
THE JURY VERDICT IS IN…
NOT GUILTY…. Was the final verdict of the UIM appeal board jury members.
After a long and grueling wait Team Fountain Worldwide – 1st4boats.com finally got the news that their appeal against the disqualification of Round 1 race in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy, was upheld and their points will be reinstated to their Championship campaign.
Team Fountain Worldwide – 1st4boats.com won both the Endurance and Sprint races in San Benedetto del Tronto, but was protested by Team OSG - Outerlimits after the Sunday race.
Many believe this was done in an unsportsmanlike manner and the decision was made after their season debut failed miserably and left them a full 200 points behind Team Fountain Worldwide – 1st4boats.com after just one event.
“This is not an uncommon situation for Fountain owners” commented Craig D. Wilson, Throttleman of boat 99. “Outerlimits has been protesting Fountain race boats for years over in the U.S., accusing us of cheating. However, the outcome has always been the same; we don’t cheat, we’re just damn good and fast!”
With this result, Team Fountain Worldwide – 1st4boats.com hold a substantial lead in the championship and head to Vigo, Spain for Round 5, looking to extend it even further.

FWW has 640 pts right now, Outerlimits has 420 pts. FWW recieved bonus points for making it half way through the season on the same set of motors. 100 points for the ruling being overturned plus the 50 point bonus for not changing the engines.
