Hot Boat artical about the River Shiver...
Saw a blurb in this months Hot Boat about the Shiver moved up to September 28th and not being "a loud" down the river???
WTF?

They moved it to Sept 28 because thats the"drink the island dry weekend" so they want to support and make the island a stop.I always liked October but 
also at the NIOC meeting they said next year we will go down the river but it will be done at No Wake.

We have had too many complaints about noise on the river. There were threats of speed limits. Last year the hardware that showed up was really impressive and scared the locals. We were not banned, the boat club decided to stick to the lakes this year. Smart move to keep the peace.

I agree with you 100%,they bring in a guest speaker telling us the importance of not drinking while boating and 5 minutes later you have someone telling us they moved the date so we could make the island a stop for the drink the island dry event.
