Labor Day Weekend, Torch Lake Grand Traverse Bay...
#1
We (and possibly a few other boats) plan on being up there and spending at least one day on Grand Traverse Bay and toss an anchor for a while around Marion/Power Island. Also, a day or two on Torch Lake....who knows, we may even spend a day on Lake Charlevoix.
Anyone else going up there?

If you never been on Torch Lake you will want more then one day there. the sand bar is the best and the Docksider restorant has some really good food at a good price.
I would love to be up there but we have sold our place on the lake two weeks ago. Ill miss that place really bad. Was the most fun ive ever had on my boat.

Yeah, we're going to be there all weekend. Of course, if the water conditions are favorable we will spend at least one day out on Grand Traverse Bay.
I don't have a place and never did have a place up on Torch Lake-----and probably never will, but that doesn't stop me from visiting there from time to time.

There may be a few other boats following us up there as well.
Tibbsboy/Jeff, if you're reading this please give me a phone call.

Also, does Luhrs have a dock on/at the ramp?
And how about parking accomodations at Luhrs with our rigs and long trailers---plenty of room for parking, making turns/manuvering, etc??? I know there are a lot of things that are worse in life, but manuvering in a tight parking lot can be pretty aggrivating/stressful if not impossible---especially when several of my friend's boats might be showing up as well...top all of that on a HOLIDAY WEEKEND!
Anyway, I will give Tim a call...thanks.Glad Zack is running well...get in and just turn the keys---
he deserves it!

Mark,
Luhrs will be fine for your rigs, Parking is better than most places. It is private so nobody messing with your rig. The Ramp is fine I have put my 38 in there and I have also launched my 357 and it had drive gaurds. I'll will be either on Torch or the Bay for Labor Day. Zach's boat runs flawless. Cant wait to see what it does against the Yella Beast. See you in a week. Josh

All,
We sure would like to hook up with some of you at Power Island Labor day weekend.
Our summer boating has been dismal as we have the boat in Cheboygen ( don't ask why ) but moved to Traverse City in mid-July. Everytime we go to Cheboygen the winds have been extreme.
We plan to move the boat to T.C. prior to Labor day weekend.
Also looking for winter storage in T.C. area if anyone has a suggestion.
Sorry for the hijack but looking fwd. to meeting the W. Mich crowd.

Mark,
We haven't decided if we are going to hang out at torch or head over to the bay, but hopefully we ca catch up with ya sometime. If it's not to rough on the bay I'd take a cruise from ER to power island that's always a good trip.
This weekend we're launching in ironton and heading to beaver island then petosky. Thanks to Dave I can do this with no doubts. Let him know the northern boys said hey.
Thanks Zach.
