Thunder on the Gulf
#1
Checked out Thunder on the Gulf this past weekend.....should have some vids soon. Anyway, anybody know why there were not many boats present? Super Vee has one entry, there was a good bit of Vee Lites and Cats.....only one Cat Extreme though.
It was a good race overall........just wondering what happened?

I know in SVL that a couple of boats were damaged from other races and could not make it, and one team was forced into retirement after being beat by a girl at Sunny Isles.
They missed out it was a very fun race.

The fans missed you Dave and the Bud Light Team! its time to put a 850 boat together, and get in that mix, so you dont have to miss a race!!! If you had three boats like another team you wouldnt have that excuse. Good luck at the shootout.

KiloKat.......yeah i was highly pissed when I didn't see the Bud boat, was looking forward to that. They did mention as you said that the shootout was next week....I didn't realize that, I guess that plays a huge role in why some skipped this one. There were 5 cats, 3 cat lites, 2 cat outboards, 1 cat extreme, 1 super vee, 5 Vee lites.

We genuinely missed seeing everyone! We work very closely with our sponsor when it comes to number of boats we race, classes we compete in and schedule. That being said, we plan to continue focusing on one boat for the Cat Extreme class and remain hopeful that 2009 will see us back in Orange Beach!
