Thumbs down

WITH THERE RULES THEY DONT HAVE FACTORY-1 ANY MORE ITS MORE LIKE THE OLD A CLASS.IF YOU TAKE A APBA LEAGAL F-1 BOAT AGAINST A SBI FACTORY-1 YOU WILL MAKE AN ASS OUT OF YOUR SELF!!! THEY WILL BE LUCKY TO SEE 2-3 BOATS.

Hey Scott its good to hear from another F-1 team.If you feel you can compete at an equal level with your boat go for it.I feel the advantage of the extention box, no weight,no x dem. limits and build your own motor would put me out at least 7-10mph.I dont have that much exta weight I can take out. With the existing boats thay have we all had a chance but one new boat on the sceen with all the new goodies doesnt sound fair.call me some time I would like to talk to you.

What kind of speeds do you think you have to run to compete in SBI.Most of the F1 boats are running in the 80-84 mph. range from best I can tell.Does any one have a beeter handle on it?

I dont know of any F-1 running 84 mph race ready more like 81-82 tops at the end of the race.My best geuss on a new f-1 SBI boat rigged right would be 88-90 mph. Remember you are in SBI. Foutain already set a kilo record in APBA at 89.5 mph with out a box, with weight restrictions, prop restrictions, motor restrictions, you tell me what they are capable of putting up for speed numbers.
Maybe I'm missing something!

I don't think you will see any SBI specific F1 boats. I think most guys would like to be able to run an APBA race so they will stay with thier rules. An APBA legal boat is always legal in SBI, just not the other way around.

I agree with ron, and thought motors were to be dyno after
race, as to fountian kilo that was before X change in APBA.

I also agree that most boats will be APBA leagal in SBI.And my point is why would they change a class that already has 25 plus boat elagable to race in it .Who are they trying to get?Cant they be the same so they would have a chance to get more boats?I think SBI is shooting themselves in the foot.Maybe there blind to the needs of the masses.
Randy

AS for X dim. I cant raise mine maybe you can.Scott you have a old A boat and proubly still have your box and adjustable motor mounts and all the goodies to put together a kick ass boat.
