Default In like a Lion, Out like a Lamb!!

Well I guess my luck hasnt changed. The weekend snow storm has caused the shed, my boat was in, to collapse!! It is the kind with the frame and tarp type cover. I bought it from Menards and it has been a pain in the ass.. since I put it up. With the heavy snow Sat nite it just couldnt take it. The welds broke on all the cross pieces. It looks like they never penetrated the parent metal..
So lets hope this is the last of the snow and summer can begin.. and lets hope the insurance company will cover the damage..

Anyone else have any good news?? Oh well that is life!!

Ouch. That sucks!!!
Hope they step up to the plate for you. I wonder if you can blame you outdrive problems on it too
Get out the camera and get it documented!!
Sounds like another quality Menards product
Good luck!!

Dyno,

Now you tell me........ sheeeesssssssss.. Just kidding. The problem I have is that I need to have the boat stored close by because I am always working on it.. You know fixing things that break... Outdrives, engine, cylinder heads.. If I the locals could supply me with decent equipment that didnt break I could store it in a remote place.. Maybe someday I will find that happy medium...
The shed from Menards will not be replaced. Just like a lot of other things with the boat that wont be purchased locally...
Oh yeah the insurance company called and will send a guy out to see what they can do... More on that later.

Mr Gadgets, This is one problem you would not have if you lived in Southern California.

Lot of guys around here use a shed called "Handi-Port" You dont need a permit cause they are portable. All Allum. Nicely built. There made in somerset Ky. Maybe these Lake Cumberland Guys can help you with info & phone,i cant find it.

Hey Thanks guys for the offers on the Southern connections!! I havent been able to get online much lately, due to this new job. If it lasts for more than this summer I may take one of you up on your offer..
Lets see.. six x winter months in South = Well why dont I just buy the beer and we all drink it..

I am not going to worry about next winter till it gets here.. The cylinder head thing is still a sore subject Dan.. enough said. I almost have the new truck runing, then comes the boat. Not much time to work on it when I have about 32hrs at home on the weekends.. I will be gone the whole month of May, the horsepower month, so I have to get cracking..

I will be boating this summer no matter how bad some people dont want me on the water.. That is my new goal..LOL

Still waiting on the insurance company.. I will let you guys know how things go..

Thanks for the comments..

Dick
