Default GPS Speedo

I have a Gaffrig GPS speedo and this weekend it would not move off of 30 mph no matter how fast or slow you are going. If you hit the recall it would move, and then go back to 30 mph. Do you think it is the speedo or something in the wiring? I have not changed anything from the last time I ran it and it worked fine then.

stuck at 9 o'clock position is lack of signal from antenna. Very closely check the tiny little wires from the antenna. They tend to break INSIDE the insulation. Gently pull each wire and note if it stretches right away. If it does, repair the wire. If not, prolly needs new antenna or battery in antenna.

Yes, it has an internal battery that you cannot remove. If you are having problems try charging the receiver with a full size battery for 24-48 hours. That usually will fix your problems. If not then you just need a new receiver ----> http://www.cpperformance.com/detail.aspx?ID=52

Get some alligator clips and hook the positive on the receiver to the positive on a group 24 battery and the negative on the battery to the negative on the receiver. Just let it charge for 24-48 hours and don't hook up any other wires.

I pulled the dash this weekend, I could not remember how the connections were. Are you talking about unplugging the 3 wire plug from the gauge and attaching the red and black from that plug to the battery?

What kind of gauge is it? Coming out of the receiver you should have a positive and a negative, eliminate the wiring harness if you can and leave it hooked up to the gauge. Now just hook up the two wires from the receiver to a battery. Just write down how you have it hooked up so you don't forget or if it is a Hardin Receiver you can look here.

Mine is a Gaffrig. It does not wire like that I don't think. Mine has all the wires going to the gauge like the example you had, but from the antenna it has a shielded cable with 3 wires that plugs into the back of the gauge. I will check again but I'm pretty sure that's the way it is.
